Dated September 1944 to the title page, with later printed label affixed to its verso stating "This volume was produced and printed for official purposes during the war 1939/45". xviii, 682pp + 236 b/w illustrations (predominantly photos) on glossy paper, 97 text figures and maps of which 11 folding, 1 colour folding map of Iraq Arabia and Persia (bound in), and 1 folding Communications of Iraq map in the back pocket as called for. Ex-University of Bristol Geography Department copy with minimal markings including a small label to the spine tail, smart bookplate, and small stamps to endpapers and title page including "Withdrawn" stamps.
