Art / Print / Poster First Edition Signed
No Binding. Condition: Very Good. Adam Neate (illustrator). 1st Edition. A small painting on foam board is one of a series of originals left by Adam in the Brick Lane/ Whitechapel area in summer 2004. This one was found taped to a lamppost at the Whitechapel end of Brick Lane the masking tape mark is still on the back of the piece. Painted in gouache with Adam painted in elongated letters in the background, signed with his monogram in the lower left corner. I have had it wrapped in acid free tissue. The painting is on foam-board rather than on cardboard, which he is famous for using. The brown paint has flaked a little and the corners are bumped when it was affixed to the lamppost, otherwise in good condition.Size 240 x 155mm Adam Neate left many paintings in the area over a number of years, and has since become one of the most prominent and famous of the London Street Artists. Although he started leaving his paintings in the streets their after-life left to chance, he did keep a meticulous record of his street art. Each painting, including this one, was listed on his personal web site in the archives, it was painted in 2003. Signed by Author(s).
