Der Verfasser W. Necker (1897-1977) war politisch engagiert, zuerst als USPD-Mitglied, bis 1925 bei der SPD, anschließend war er Syndikus beim Bauhaus, für die KPD und die Liga für Menschenrechte aktiv, bevor er 1933 nach Prag und später England flüchtete. 1947 wurde er Direktor der Deutschen Nachrichtenagentur in Bad Nauheim, geriet aber bald in Konflikt mit der dortigen Militärregierung. Sternfeld/T. 364. - Einzige Ausgabe der Autobiographie. Necker (1897-1977) betätigte sich nach dem Ersten Weltkrieg nacheinander politisch in der USPD, SPD und schließlich KPD. Er war zeitweilig Sekretär der Eisenbahner-Union Berlin und Rechtsvertreter des Bauhauses in Weimar. 1933 ging er in die Illegalität und floh dann über Prag nach Großbritannien. Dort war er während des Krieges Militärkorrespondent und arbeitete für den Geheimdienst. Nach dem Krieg kehrte er kurzfristig nach Deutschland zurück, ging aber 1947 dauerhaft nach England. - Papier gebräunt, davon abgesehen, gutes Exemplar.
