Surviving the 'death walk', he kept notes on his years in confinement and the life and community of his fellow prisoners, as well as their guards, in Cabanatuan, Omori Camp in Tokyo, and Wakasennin. Hardcover in jacket, as pictured. Light wear to book, minor edgewear to the usually delicate jacket; spine dished; light damage to endsheets - an older jacket protector was taped there; crease to free endsheet; minor foxing, heavier on top edge.
