Add to basketprinted in black and blue, illustrations of products throughout with tables of codes and prices, some light soiling and spotting to page-borders, pp. 96, 4to, original blue wrappers, soiling and some creasing, some portions of loss to backstrip, loop of thread for hanging at head, textblock a little loose but secure, good. With a typed notice laid in regarding loss of goods in transit, including through 'pilferage', seemingly a growing problem. The company had begun in Norwich as Howlett & White, adopting the Norvic name in 1909, and expanding from manufacturing to retail premises - establishing itself as the country's largest footwear producer by the mid-1930s, taking over competitors in Norwich and Northampton, and extending their range to men's shoes.
