Der spätere Chefredakteur der Arbeiterzeitung der österreichischen Sozialdemokratie, Pollak (1893-1963), sah die inhaltlichen Differenzen innerhalb der SAI als nicht antagonistisch an: Ja, es gibt innerhalb der Internationale große Verschiedenheiten. Aber es sind nicht zufällige, zusammenhanglose, unabänderliche Unterschiede - es sind verschiedene Grade der Reife der Arbeiterbewegung, zusammenhängende Stufen ein und derselben Entwicklung.
