Zwischen den Kriegen war er stark an der Bildung der neuen Luftwaffe beteiligt. Im Zweiten Weltkrieg war er Generalleutnant in der Luftwaffe der Wehrmacht und kämpfte in der… Luftschlacht um England. - E.O. Plauen (1903 - 1944) war das Pseudonym von Erich Ohser, einem deutschen Karikaturisten, der eng mit Erich Kästner zusammenarbeitete und vor allem für seine Illustrationen "Vater und Sohn" bekannt wurde. Denunziert aufgrund kritischer Meinungsäußerungen zu den herrschenden Nationalsozialisten wurde Plauen im März 1944 verhaftet und begang wenige Tage später, am Tag vor seinem Gerichtsverfahren in seiner Gefängniszelle Selbstmord. - Einband berieben und etwas fleckig; Rücken fehlt; Ecken und Kanten berieben und bestoßen; Widmung auf vorderem fliegenden Vorsatzblatt; Seiten gebräunt.
