Octavo, illustrated jacket, 478 pp. Publication 1296A of the National Academy of Sciences. A bright, tight, Near Fine volume, the only salient flaw being a prior owner's small signature of ffep, in a dust jacket which is barely better than good, but is complete and unclipped. See scans. Not a treatment of Greys or Reptilians; this is a compilation of current (at the time) and earlier literature on the general subject of what is now called exobiology - life beyond earth in whatever it may take, possibly mostly microbiota. Charts, tables, photographs, text in the anthology portion. Published "supplementary to / Biology and the Exploration of Mars / Report of a Study Held Under the Auspices of the Space Science Board / National Academy of Sciences / National Research Council / 1964-1965", the purpose of this scholarly bibliographic work being to, per the jacket blurb, "facilitate access to the literature representative of the search for and characterization of life beyond earth".
