Unser Exemplar stammt aus dem Vorbesitz der Freibiblioth…ek und Lesehalle Frankfurt a. Main und trägt die entsprechenden alten Stempel und Signaturen zumeist nur auf Vorsatz und Titelei, in einigen Bänden aber auch auf Seitenschnitt, Tafelrückseiten und einigen Textseiten. Das Papier ist durchgehend schwach bis stärker gelbfleckig, Band 1 mit Tinten- und Feuchtspuren sowie einzelnen Bleistift-Markierungen, in Band 6 sind die ersten Seiten gelockert bzw. lose. Alle Tafeln sind stärker gebräunt. Seidler. 1841 dann, um zwei Koblenzer Veduten von Martens nach Siegmund bereichert, eine finale Ausgabe mit dem neuen, ausgezeichneten Text von Otto von Czarnowsky. Diese erschien nach Engelmann in zwei Varianten: ohne Tafeln (wie hier) oder mit Frontispiz, 32 Ansichten und Karte. Hier vorliegende die preiswerte Ausgabe, trotz Spuren derselben wie bei Engelmann ohne Faltkarte. Eines der bedeutendsten Moselbücher.
