Hardcover. Condition: Good+. 1st Edition. See photos for condition details. Hardcover, blue cloth board show scuffing and soiling along with edge and corner bumps/wear. Spine is a bit faded. The internal binding is good, no hinge issues. No signatures or bookplates present, no library markings. The only evidence of handwriting is on the front end page where there is faint residue from a price once penciled in the corner and then later erased. The tissue guard for the frontispiece has a small closed hole near the bottom edge center. The end pages and pastedowns show moderate foxing but the text pages show little to no foxing or spotting. Page 9 has the lower corners missing, which may have been from the way the pages were cut as other pages have this to a lesser degree as well. There is also a small strip at the gutter on page 14. This is actually part of the frontispiece and is how the publisher designed it, so the page would not come loose. There is no author listed on the title page, other than in the title. Anne Simon had passed away and this book was published by her husband, Otto.…
