Raymond Savignac se forme en autodidacte jusqu'à ce qu'il rencontre Cassandre en 1933 ; il devient son élève, et s'associe avec Bernard Villemot. Ses publicités séduisent par des gags visuels et des associations ludiques. Il travaille pour les marques Rival, Air France, Frigeco, Bic, Citroën. Rival, célèbre maison de parfums, qui a été fondée en 1939 par Jean Clavelier à Neuilly. Maquette originale, réalisée par Raymond Savignac, pour une carte publicitaire pour le parfumeur Rival.
