Malone was born in Tyrrellspass, Co. Westmeath in 1891 and died in 1959. He was reputed to be Michael Collins' favorite spy. Much on the War of Independence in Cork and Limerick. A well written and incisive memoir. Excellent notes, including potted biographies.
