Hardback bound in blue cloth with gilt lettering on the upper board, in a gilt border, and on the spine. In very good condition, slight wear to the ends of the spine and corners, top edge dusted, all edges spotted, spotting throughout, but particularly to first and last few pages, inscribed with owner's initials at Gyrn Castle, Llanasa in North Wales. Xvpp with black and white frontispiece photograph protected by a tissue guard, list of contents and illustrations, the aforementioned Prefatory Note and Authors note, then 352pp that provide a meticulous record of the seasonal wildlife thriving within the Norfolk Broads, with a particular focus on the mudflats and waters of Breydon Water, beautifully illustrated with 39 original images by Patterson himself, followed by a comprehensive index, then a 40pp Publisher's catalogue.…
