Auf Meyers Frage, ob allenfalls sinkende Preise für Leinöl zu erwartet seien "teilen wir Ihnen höflich mit, dass zufolge von Berichten aus Nord- & Süd-Amerika die Ernte im nächsten Frühjahr eine gute zu werden scheine & deshalb auf ein Sinken der Leinölpreise gehofft werden dürfe. Immerhin bedarf es nur eines Frostes oder anderer Umstände höherer Gewalt, um diese Hoffnungen zu vernichten [.]. Trüb & Co., Aarau & Lausanne - Im SHAB erwähnt wird 1886 nur Gottfried Plüss-Staufer als Inhaber; 1889 ging er mit Alwin Ruf eine Kollektivgesellschaft als 'Plüss-Staufer ['Stauffer'] & Cie.' ein. Im Dezember 1903 wird die bisherige 'Plüss-Staufer' von der 'Aktiengesellschaft der Vereinigten Oel-, Kitt- & Kreidewerke vormals Plüss-Staufer (Société anonyme des Fabriques d'Huile, Mastic et Blanc Minéral, ancien Pluss-Staufer' übernommen, Direktor der Gesellschaft ist: Gottfried Plüss-Staufer. Die Marke 'Omya' wurde 1905 auf die AG übertragen, und im April 1911 der bisherige Prokurist Paul Rüegger zum kaufmännischen Direktor ernannt. - 1884 "vermählte sich der Handwerker Gottfried Plüss mit der Bäckerstochter Emma Staufer und gründete [.] nicht nur eine Familie, sondern auch die Firma Plüss-Staufer.
