Chanoine de la Cathédrale de Lyon et membre de son Académie, l'Abbé Jacques Pernetti a surtout écrit sur l'histoire de Lyon. Ce roman historique et oriental semble le seul qu'il ait signé. Pernetti a choisi à dessein les quarante premières années de la vie de Cyrus sur lesquelles les auteurs grecs n'ont rien dit. Bon exemplaire, intérieur frais . en bon état malgré le petit défaut signalé (good condition in spite of the small defect indicated).
