Edition originale dans reliure d'époque en papier bleu muette. Tampon à froid d'une librairie à Milan sur le premier plat. Illustré de 75 gravures sur bois. Intérieur frais, excepté quelques rousseurs sur le bord extérieur des pages. Un mors fendus avec lacunes en coiffe. Ouvrage composé de 4 livres : établissement du vignoble, travaux annuels du vignoble, circonstances et nuisances à la vigne et la vigne dans sa dernière période. Rare et recherché.

First Edition. 692 pages, folding table, the original printed paper covers have not been preserved, rebound in 20th century half speckled calf with marbled paper sides and endpapers, the half-title page and the title page have been cleaned, light pink colouring around the edges and margins of approximately the first and last 30 leaves, small tear in the middle of one leaf without loss, old string(?) mark across page 51 with the loss of several letters of the text across seven lines, slight damp-rippling of the text block, otherwise a very clean, sound and tight copy. Collated and complete. NOTE: The text block seems to have been exposed to water at some point resulting in the pink colour of the original printed paper covers leaching and leaving the pink colouration referred to in the description above and the slight rippling of the text block. Size: 22 x 13 cm.
