(Ränder etwas fleckig bzw. angeschmutzt; eine Tafel rückseitig mit architektonischer Bleistiftskizze von alter Hand) * Die Tafel C5 mit Darstellung eines Wasserklosetts "Entwurf von Getäffel-Werck eines heimlichen Gemachs (cabinet d'aisance ou lieu de commodité), dessen Sitz in einer Nische gemacht ist", mit 2 Detailplänen (horizontaler und vertikaler Schnitt) und Erläuterungen. - Als eigentlicher Erfinder des Wasserklosetts gilt Sir John Harington, jedoch geriet seine Erfindung aus dem Jahr 1596 wieder in Vergessenheit. Erst 1775 wurde eine Ausführung eines Wasserklosetts (mit Siphon) des Engländers Alexander Cummings patentiert. - Die weiteren Tafeln: B1+B2. Entwurf eines Credenz-Tisches (Buffet) in einem Speisesaal. - B3. Invention von einem Teil eines Getäffers (Wandtäfelung) nebst einer Tür von eingelegter Arbeit mit doppelten Flügeln. - B4. Entwurf von Getäffel-Werck (Wandtäfelung), dessen Mitte mit einem Glaspfeiler besetzt ist zu Erhaltung der Simetrie, mit einem gegenüberstehenden Camin, die Wände auf beiden Seiten sind von verändert geschnitzten Zierrathen. - C2. Großer Spiegel-Pfeiler zwischen zwei getäfelten Wänden von veränderter Zeichnung. - C3. Portal von eingelegter Arbeit, oberhalb mit einer Malerei. C4. The plates are engraved by [Jean] Mariette (1660-1742), print dealer and publisher. The images are explained in detail, marked A. B. C. in margins : 'Courtepointe' (quilt) ; 'Subassement' (foundation).
