Piatti riccamente ornati da motivi floreali impressi, cornice di filetto dorato e titolo "Vues de Venise" in oro. Sguardie in elegante carta marm…orizzata marrone. 15 tavole illustrate, corredate in basso dal nome dell'incisore e del disegnatore, dai dati editoriali e dal titolo in italiano e francese. Le splendide vedute sono incorniciate la eleganti filettature con ornamenti floreali o geometrici agli angoli. Esemplare in eccellente stato di conservazione, unico sul mercato antiquario. Bellissima raccolta composta da 15 raffinate litografie, opera di Giuseppe Kier da disegni di Pividor, Moro e Borghesi. Ogni tavola è finemente arricchita con coloritura ad acquarello e gomma arabica e protetta da velina. Le scene sono animate da squisite macchiette che rappresentano la quotidianità veneziana. Le vedute sono tratte da diversi album editi da Kier e, nello specifico, da M. Moro Venezia Monumentale e Pittoresca, 1845 -1863; G. Pividor e G. First edition. Oblong folio album with original cloth-backed blue boards and printed decoration to upper cover. A very good copy, with slight damp staining to the front panel and foxing to the plate mounts, a couple of plates affected by areas of staining, though remaining mainly bright and clear. The remainder of the plates are… extremely bright and evocative. Hand-coloured lithographed title page, incorporating a view of Piazza San Marco, and twelve further hand-coloured lithographed plates heightened with gum arabic and printed by Kirchmayr or Lefevre after Cecchini, Pividor and Viola. A fine series of views of Venice by the Venetian artists Giovanni-Battista Cecchini (1804-79), Giovanni Pividor (d. 1872) and Tommaso Viola (b. c. 1810). The lithograph plates are finely printed by Léfevre each within a double blue lined border and with the delicate hand-colouring heightened with gum arabic.

Prigioni bis Riva degli Schiavoni (so die Bezeichnungen unterhalb der Darstellung); im Vordergrund zahlreiche Schiffe (Segelschiffe, Gondeln, ein… Raddampfer usw.). - [.] questa veduta riscosse un notevolissimo consenso per il suo valore decorativo, invece non altrettanto valido è il suo apporto di documento grafico per la mediocre cura dei particolari (Cassini, Piante e vedute prospettiche di Venezia (1479-1855)). - Gezeichnet bzw. gedruckt wurde das seltene Panorama offenbar für die Teilnehmer del nono Congresso degli Scienziati Italiani in Venezia am 11. September 1847. Beiliegend die auf rosa Papier lithographierte, handschriftl. ausgefüllte, gestempelte u. numerierte Teilnehmerkarte (10 x 14,5 cm) für den Chemiker und Kaufmann Karl August Neumann (1771-1866) mit den eigenh. Unterschriften von drei Mitgliedern der Gesellschaft. Die Rückseite der Einladungskarte mit einem lithogr. Stadtplan von Venedig. Die Nummer 497 findet sich sowohl auf der Teilnehmerkarte als auch auf der erhaltenen bedruckten OPp.-Rolle (diese mit dem Titelaufdruck Panorama di Venezia sowie ebenfalls mit der Jahreszahl 1847). - Rolle etw. bestoßen bzw. fleckig. Teilnehmerkarte tlw. leicht fleckig. Das Panorama an den Rändern tlw. min. bestoßen bzw. m. wenigen schwachen Knickspuren.
