The book was written by Irving Kolodin, Music Critic for the New York Sun, and has an Introduction by Soprano Lily Pons, who said the following :"When I sing the music of The Queen of the Night in 'The Magic Flute'. - or Despina in 'Cosi fan tutte', I feel I am singing music which, in its own way, approaches the very heights of musical genius." The book was published by The Four Corners Press in New York in paperback format. This is the First Edition, so identified on the verso of the title page. As well as a discography, the book contains a brief discussion of Mozart's life and music. Wolfgang Amadeu Mozart stood alone in his youthful genius as a composer of sublime Genius. He is one of the world's musical immortals.
