He aquí el centro de la cuestión, porque en este caso se trata, ef…ectivamente de una insuficiencia de la relación de un sujeto con su propia temporalidad; se trata, mejor dicho, de una forma de desaparición del sujeto. Sylvie Le Poulichet, en su intento de fundar una clínica psicoanalítica de las toxicomanías, parte de la abstinencia de droga y sus efectos, y comprueba la presencia de una dimensión alucinatoria en la abstinencia vivida por los pacientes. La operación del farmakon (concepto heurístico y explicativo de la novedosa propuesta de la autora) representa un intento de cancelación tóxica del dolor y una restauración de un objeto alucinatorio. Sobreviene como en respuesta a una falta de elaboración del cuerpo pulsional, ligada a una insuficiencia de la función simbólica. Esta paradójica operación se traduce en una tentativa de anular un corte que es constitutivo del ser hablante. Y una condición fundamental para que se sostenga una operación de farmakon sería, al parecer, que algo se haya constituido como un «intolerable» que no pueda ser asumido dentro de una realidad simbólica. Las toxicomanías se deben desgajar de un marbete que pretenda contenerlas, y es preciso pensarlas en su heterogeneidad, en cuanto referidas al campo íntegro de la psicopatología.
