Bound in textured beige cloth-covered boards with black titles on spine. Top edge sprayed pink. 8vo. Boards gently rounded at corners, a little discoloured around edges and lightly sunned on spine. Hint of toning on endpapers, else internally neat, clean, bright and tight. Very slight forward lean.

Boards have a ring stain to the front panel which also has a few small surface marks. There is some rubbing and fraying to the corners of the boards and at the top and bottom of the spine. Browning to the page edges. There is a four inch closed tear running up from the bottom edge of page 223 and half-inch closed tears at the top edge of pages 135 and 137. There is a slight trace of a price in pencil to the front free endpaper and the pages are browned but otherwise clean and unmarked. No jacket . Illustrated by Bartram Prance.
