Edge wear, chipping, short closed tears and some loss to top and bottom of fabulous retro jacket by Eric Fraser, spine faded, corners and folds rubbed with loss, some browning and spotting to page fore edges. Not price clipped (15s), no inscriptions, internally clean tight and square, overall a reasonable copy for its age. 593pp. A light hearted novel which concentrates on a few weeks in the life of a village community in England leading up to a summer festival. Author, playwright and broadcaster J. B. Priestley (1894-1984), published it almost certainly to coincide with the Festival of Britain in 1951 it has a large cast of characters and perfectly captures the spirit of a bygone and simpler age.

Very scarce booklet of poetry and other writings by African-American authors including Quincy Troupe, Stanley Crouch and Eric Priestly among others. The book was "dedicated to Thaddeus Morgan Brevard Better known in Watts as 'Fats', 'Watts Fats; 'Fats' was shot nine times by the L. A. Police Department on November 14, 1967 while on his knees." Pages are clean and unmarked, lightly toned. There is significant wear along the spine edge of the booklet and the front and back covers are both partially detached. Front cover is clean and the back cover shows just a few light water spots. There are also a couple of light creases in the upper left corner of the back cover.
