RAMOS, Juan Eugene [edited by] PICASSO, Paloma [foreword by] [215] pp. Schirmer Art Books 1995 12" x 9 1/4" A richly illustrated tribute to Antonio Lopez and his work. Alongside a foreword by Paloma Picasso are essays by Katell le Bourhis, Nao Oishi, Bill Cunningham, Richard Martin, Patricia Peterson, Philip Smith and Anna Piaggi. This is one of the most generously illustrated books on Lopez, with many colour reproductions of his fashion illustrations, alongside personal photographs of the artist. Antonio Lopez (February 11, 1943 March 17, 1987) was a fashion illustrator whose work appeared in such publications as Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, Elle, Interview and The New York Times. Several books collecting his illustrations have been published. In his obituary, the New York Times called him a "major fashion illustrator. He generally signed his works as "Antonio." Fashion illustrator Antonio Lopez was known worldwide by the age of 19.
