Add to basketFirst published in 1823, the Memoirs of General Count Rapp provide a vivid first-hand account of the Napoleonic era from one of the Emperor's most trusted officers. As first aide-de-camp to Napoleon, Count Rapp was present at many of the defining campaigns of the period, and his recollections offer valuable insight into both the military events and the character of Napoleon himself. Written with clarity and immediacy, the work combines battlefield narrative with personal observation, illuminating the inner workings of the Imperial court and the personalities who shaped it. It remains an important contemporary source for the study of the Napoleonic wars. Memoirs of General Count Rapp, First Aide-de-Camp to Napoleon. Written by Himself and Published by His Family.
