Die Preispolitik ist eines der wichtigsten Instrumente des Marketings. Sie versucht, durch Preisgestaltung den Nachfrager zum Kauf zu animieren und somit den Absatz und den Gewinn zu steigern. Der Preis spielt dabei eine überaus wichtige Rolle (vgl. Meffert, 2000, 483). Die Preispolitik umfasst also vielfältigste Bereiche und Prinzipen, die in dieser Arbeit nicht alle behandelt werden können. Die Verfasser konzentrieren sich auf die Preisdifferenzierungsstrategien. Die Formen der Preisdifferenzierung werden theoretisch erarbeitet und anhand von Beispielen der Energiewirtschaft untersucht und erläutert . Zuvor erläutern die Verfasser die Struktur und Besonderheiten des Elektrizitätsmarktes (Kapitel 2). Ein sehr interessanter Aspekt im Elektrizitätsbereich ist die Preisbildung, die im Kapitel 3 erläutert wird. Im Kapitel 4 wird erörtert, ob Strom ein Sachgut oder eine Dienstleistung ist. Diese Einordnung ist für das Kapitel 5 Preisdifferenzierung von großer Bedeutung. Der Spezialfall der zeitlichen Preisdifferenzierung, dynamische Stromtarife, wird anhand der Eckernförder Tarifstudie sowie weiteren Beispielen dargestellt. Diese bisher wenig umgesetzten Möglichkeiten der Energieversorgungsunternehmen ist das innovative Element der Preispolitik in der Energiewirtschaft und wird deshalb besonders herausgestellt. Die Verfasser untersuchen die Akzeptanz von Realpreisen für Elektrizität durch eine Befragung. Abschließend wird die Arbeit im Fazit zusammengefasst und bewertet. 60 pp. Deutsch.
