Condition: Fair. 1917. sheet music. 4pp. paper folio: about Good condition [some creases & edge tears; cover is suitable for framing] Songwriters Hall of Famer Leslie (1885-1976), Goetz (1886-1954) and Meyer (1884-1959) wrote this popular standard that later appeared in a 1942 Judy Garland Gene Kelly movie of the same title. Albert Barbelle (1887-1957) was a prolific illustrator who provided the cover art of a wedding scene with inset photo of actors Fanny Brice (1891-1951) & Charles King (1886-1944), who would find greater fame in the ensuing years.

No Binding. Condition: Very Good. Original sheet music printed on white paper in black ink. Full-page color illustration in beige, black, orange, and white on front. 10 1/2" x 13 1/2." Six pages, complete. Sheet music for the song is three pages. Two pages in back include sheet music samples for other songs. Former owner's signature written faintly in ink on front. Sheet music is very clean and intact overall but has age toning, slight wrinkling throughout, and several small closed tears at the edges. A Very Good copy. Sheet music for the song, "They'll Be Whistling It All Over Town." Song was part of Hitchy-Koo, a revue that opened in 1918 on New York's Broadway. First interior page credits lyrics to E. Ray Goetz and music to Jean Schwartz. Text on front page reads, "Raymond Hitchcock, With Leon-Errol, in the 1918 Hitchy-Koo, Staged by Leon Errol; Lyrics and Music by E. Ray Goetz, Jean Schwartz and Willy White; Book by Glen MacDonough." The names of other songs that may have been part of the musical are printed on front. Also includes sheet music samples for "Beautiful Sacred Songs for Church, Home and Concert Use" (comprises samples for "Teach Me to Pray," "I Come to Thee," and "It Was for Me") and a full-page sample for "My Rosary for You." All of the sheet music samples are published by M. Witmark & Sons.
