Hard cover with illustrated cloth cover with black illustration of fisherman and gold titles on front, gold embossed titles on spine. Some general edgewear and discoloration and a tiny nick to the top of the spine. Very slight lean. Decorative end-papers have all-over floral print. Back end-paper is starting to split a little at fold. Two ink names (previous owner's) - one on title page, the other on opening chapter page. Black and white decoration at beginning and end of chapters. Some sections show opening at spine with a little movement in binding at first section. Binding overall is intact and pages are in good condition with uniform fading and some foxing. 252 pages followed by 121 pages of advertisements. Book is descriptive and anecdotal rather than instructional.
