First edition. 61pp, [2]. With numerous in-text illustrations. Original publisher's decorated printed paper wrappers. Rubbed, marked, and browned, loss to head and foot of spine. Light scattered spotting. Presentation copy, inked inscription to FFEP: ' O.W. Wyatt Esq., with the author's fraternal regards'. A presentation copy of the first edition, provincially published, of a collection of anonymous pastoral and agricultural verse compositions inspired by the city and surrounding landscapes of Chichester, West Sussex. The book may have been produced at the private press of landscape painter Charles Knight (1901-1990), who resided in Ditchling, East Sussex, and served as Vice-Principal of the Brighton School of Art and the Royal Society of Painters in Watercolours. Scarce; COPAC records copies at just two locations (BL and Chichester), OCLC adds two further (Alabama and California). Size: 8vo.
