The Amsterdam-based Charlotte Dumas is a photographer and video artist who works with the theme of animal and human relations in contemporary society. The titular 'bezoar' is "a coagulation that forms in the stomachs and intestines of animals, namely a stone, and while it has been scientifically proven that these concretions are medical phenomena, in old traditions, they were sometimes regarded as talismans associated with mysterious realms of the imagination". Essays by Yuko Kitta, curator Reiko Setsuda, architect Keigo Kobayashi, and novelist Haneko Takayama. Rare with only one copy located in OCLC.
