Major satellites, like the Hubble Space Telescope, Chandra and XMM Newton, are complemented by numerous large ground-based observatories, from 8m-10m optical telescopes to sub-mm and radio facilities. As a result, observational astronomy has access to virtually the whole electromagnetic spectrum of galaxies, even at high redshifts. Theoretical models of galaxy formation and cosmological evolution now face a serious challenge to match the plethora of observational data. In October 2003, over 170 astronomers from 15 countries met for a 4-day workshop to extensively illustrate and discuss all major observational projects and ongoing theoretical efforts to model galaxy formation and evolution. È un oscillare tra il sentirsi tutto ciò che esiste, al voler scomparire per non sentirsi. Una ricerca, quindi, della mediazione tra il proprio mondo interiore e quello esterno. Cercando un linguaggio semplice e immediato, che possa, per quanto possibile, regalare immagini e sensazioni. Ed è, soprattutto, una lode altissima alla creatività e alla potenza dell'arte che può trasformare ogni cosa in bellezza e sentimento. Le passioni sono tra le poche cose che contano veramente nella vita e poterle condividere è una delle gioie più grandi. La maggior parte delle poesie all'interno di questo libricino, sono scritte in versi liberi, senza rispettare metriche o rime. Questo metodo permette di lasciar scorrere il flusso di pensieri agevolando una spontaneità e una sincerità quasi infantile. Non c'è un vero e proprio ordine cronologico e le poesie non sono necessariamente in connessione tra di loro. È semplicemente un percorso, un viaggio, i cui frutti rielaborati e corretti hanno portato a questo risultato. È un po' come fosse un diario segreto che ad un certo punto viene condiviso cosicché possa, magari, stimolare l'estro e la passione di qualcun'altro.
