Hardcover. Condition: Fair. Hardcover. Brown leather over boards with gold lettering on red leather plate on spine and gold striping on spine. Title page dated 1828. 283 pages. In fair condition. Some wear to leather, particularly along edges. Boards exposed a bit through split and chipping leather at corners. Uneven discoloration to top fifth of front cover. Leather is cracked along hinges, front cover has detached almost completely, remaining connected at top cord. Back cover still connected along length of book. Spine is quite toned, though lettering is still readable and fairly vibrant. Aside from front endpaper still attached to cover, binding remains very secure. List of rules for the Library of the Theological Seminary of Virginia pasted to front attached endpaper. Pages are toned with heavy foxing throughout. Overall this copy shows its age but is in fine reading condition.

Book looks great from the outside, but original spine has been affixed to a new leather spine header with new endpapers and interior cloth hinges. A letter from Russell Books and Bindery in Spokane included which goes through the entire restoration process for this book which has transformed this book into a very nice tight square bright copy .
