William Thom, the Book starts with an Analysis of Isaiah and continues with similar analyses of Biblical texts. There are occasional engraved illustrations. At some point, the binding has been repaired and strengthened using hemp twine and sewn very neatly. The binding has now deteriorated and the rear of the book has detached along with a number of pages, all of which are present.A mysterious fragment of writing dated 1878 is loosely inserted. This is a rare and fascinating piece of 19th century religious publishing. An enterprising child has used the front inner board for musical notation, but we can't see any other marks of previous ownership.
