Williamson and Brown are a pair of tough cops who go after the mob that fixed their friend, Richard Roundtree's martial arts tournament, and shot their friend Jim Kelly. Based on the 1973 play by Adrian Mitchell, which was based on the classic 1719 novel "Robinson Crusoe" by Daniel Defoe. A post-civil rights movement take on the Defoe classic, wherein Crusoe finds himself stranded on an island with a black islander, whom he names Friday, and finds himself incapable of seeing the islander beyond his narrow and racist colonialist worldview. Nominated for the Palm d'Or. 23 x 32.5 inches. Very Good, with light dampstaining to the right side.
