Decorated by initials. A lavishly illustrated study of the smaller English house produced in typical Batsford style. It examines the evolution of the type and its plan with an emphasis on materials and the architectural details. He began his collaboration with Harry Batsford in the publication of books of architectural history in 1911 and held the chair of architecture at University College London, 1919-1946.
