The Raven Press was founded in Harrow Weald, Middlesex, by Robert Ashwin Maynard and Horace Walter Bray on leaving Gregynog Press in 1930, in association with J. & E. Bumpus Ltd; the last book was published in 1940. Number 19 of a limited edition of 275 copies. Original quarter vellum, lettered in gilt to spine and with gilt raven to upper cover, black boards a little scratched, top edge gilt, remainder untrimmed; xi[i], 63[1] pages on watermarked paper, ten woodcuts with tissue guards, contents clean and crisp.
