First Edition
Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. First edition as stated, first printing of Babe Ruth's only authorized autobiography published just a few months before his passing. Full red cloth titled in black to upper cover and spine, lacking dust jacket. Previous owner's name to front free endpage, no other markings. Illustrated with 49 photographs and illustrated endpages. Light soiling to covers and outer page edges with a bit of toning. A pretty nice copy overall. Rare in the first printing especially as a softcover copy was issued virtually simultaneously. This first edition was issued in May of 1948 and Ruth, ill with throat cancer, died just a few months later in November of 1948. Uncommon.
Hardcover. Condition: Near Fine. No Jacket. 1st Edition. Cloth on spine if fading. Yellowing to page ends due to age. Signed by Author(s).
