Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. No Jacket. Unpaginated (approx. 130 pp.). Blue cloth with embossed lettering and illustration of a girl jumping rope in gilt and light blue on front; similar on spine. Beveled boards and all edges gilt. Gilt is very bright. Profusely illustrated with 6 full-page color plates (including the frontispiece), full-page black and white plates and black and white drawings. A very neat handwritten inscription on the half-title page reads, "For Bessie, from Aunt Maggie Christmas 1890." Extremities, corners and spine ends lightly rubbed. Binding is tight. Text block is tight and clean throughout. Ffep and one of the color plates have 1 1/2" closed tears. Some soiling on the lower corner of the blank ffep. A beautiful edition. Size: Quarto. Book.
