Paperback. Condition: New. Print on Demand. This book comprises essays and addresses exploring the function of economic analysis. The author contends that the discipline of economics involves much more than the study of toolsâ"it also requires in-depth knowledge of real-world economic problems and their impacts on individuals. Moreover, the author advocates for the use of statistical methods to enhance the analysis of economic patterns and trends. One such trend the author examines is the historical association between price movements and real wages, ultimately arguing that the relationship is not as straightforward as many believe. By including diverse analyses like this, the book expands the understanding of economics and its applications to the complexities of the real world. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.

Hardcover. Condition: Near Fine. 1st Edition. London: W. Thacker & Co., 1930. First edition, first printing. This is a near fine copy. In the publisher's original pictorial cloth binding, depicting scenes of Burma, as decorated by the author. Slight bumping to the spine tips, and a small patch of unfortunate, but unobtrusive staining to the lower board. The text blocks are mostly clean, with some mild spots to the top edge. To the front fly leaf, Harcourt Robertson inscribes: 'To J. M. Speg, Esq: (of "Feasteo") with greetings and compliments. C. Harcourt Robertson, 25/8/48'. Overall, this is a near fine copy of a nice, signed title. A collection of short, impressionistic sketches depicting life in colonial Burma. Through a series of loosely connected scenes, C. Harcourt Robertson captures the landscapes, customs, and daily rhythms of Burmese society, as well as the interactions between local inhabitants and the British colonial presence. Cecil Harcourt Robertson (illustrator). Inscribed by Author(s).
