Rochester was a contemporary to W E Johns , in the early 1930s his (Rochester's) aviation stories outsold the legendary Biggles ironically Rochester was also imprisoned in the same POW Camp as W E Johns. The artist, Howard Leigh, did the artwork in many of the early Biggles books and was also brother-in-law to W E Johns John Hamilton 1936 England. Howard Leigh (illustrator).

Front endpaper has been removed, title pag…e remains and no other pages seem to be missing. No notes or highlighting but text blocks have foxing throughout some pages have more than others. Binding is intact but exposed in at least one place meaning it might be a bit fragile there, no loose pages currently. Overall a readable copy with foxing being the notable sign of age.

Firm binding and clean. There is a slight book lean. - Very light soiling to endpages.
