Hardcover. Condition: Near Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Fine. 1st Edition. The book is bound in fine blue cloth with the title stamped in bright gilt on the front cover and title and editor stamped in gilt on the spine. Binding is square and tight. Corners are sharp and all edge are clean. inscribed by the editor on the ffe. Otherwise, the book is clean tight and unmarked. The DJ is unclipped with no original price indicated. There is a .25" closed tear on the bottom edge of the back cover. Profusely illustrated with photographs in black and white. In his dedication the editor writes-"To my wife Jane in memory of her father, William Lamson Soule. His mother, Jennie, saved these letters for him." Please see all images. Inscribed by Author(s).
