Plain olive wraps with one small old label to front cover, page corners have some wrinkling & soiling from use. All images are clean & bright. Bartolomeo Pinelli Romano was a prolific engraver & artist of the 18th and 19th centuries. This book is his engravings inspired by Cervantes' Don Quixote. In a modern sense, it can be seen as a forerunner to graphic novels. The illustrations capture the adventure and the humor of the story, and this Romano's work should be considered one of the great Quixote illustrated adaptations.
