Dust Jacket Condition: Near Fine. xxii (i), 467 pp, b&w frontis, acknowledgments, Introduction; The Intelligence of the Present by Roberto Rossellini, A Note on the Screenplays; abbreviations; Open City; Paisan; Germany - Year Zero. Edited and with an introduction by Stefano Roncoroni. Translated from the Italian by Judith Green: First Edition, 1973. "These three screenplays represents the high poing of the greaat Italian directors's art. His work, which spans Italy's Fascist and Republican periods, has been condemned by Marxist and Catholic critics and acclaimed by critics unburdened by dogma: the films are sinsitive reflections of the changing aspirations of the Italian people, symbolically, psychoanalytically, and sociologically, his films mirror the myths, problems, illusions, and contradictions of a respectable, bourgeois Italy that never really found itself understood elsewhere." from the jacket flap. Price clipped. A minute closed tear to bottom edge rear wrapper near spine dj. Only the slightest foxong to text block edges, else, Pristine, no wear. Clean, tight and strong binding with no underlining, highlighting or marginalia. Black cloth with gilt lettering to spine. Size: Large 8vo. Book.

Condition: NUOVO. Roma, Donzelli Ed. cm.11,5x16,5, pp.VIII,168, brossura con bandelle, cop.fig. Collana Saggine,100.
