This 283 item auction catalogue was published to accompany the auction of portraits of writers, artists and musicians from the collection of Roy Davids. The emphasis of the collection was on the sitter, rather than the artist, and portraits of John Keats, Ted Hughes, Augustus John and Siegfried Sassoon amongst many other well-known personalities, are to be found in the catalogue.
