Hamaker of Los Angeles. _____ Apparently Mr Hamaker solicited the local assessor's opinion on the condition and prospects of the Eclipse Mine which Hamaker owns._____ . _____ To that end he sent a copy of a detailed report by Thomas A. Wetzel, E.M._____That undated six page report is included here._____ It provides considerable information on the history of the mine. _____ Having read Wetzel's report and examined the site Mr Ruggles opines that the report is "conservative and reliable"._____ Prospects look good and the ore would seem to be profitable._____ That said, the years between Wetzel's report and 1930 have not been kind. _____ The two shafts have caved in, taking an engine down and wrecking everything at the bottom._____ In addition, the surface building material cited by Wetzel "has been stolen and is scattered over the county.". _____ Appended to the bottom of the Ruggles letter is a typewritten postscript dated 9/22/1930._____ It is from Hamaker and addressed to "Ned", and states that "our titles have been litigated from A to Z and are now in strictly ship-shape._____ He urges Ned to "get busy on this and between us we can make up some of our lost speed"._____ The bottom edge of the letter has been sheared off, just leaving evidence of a typed "W.N.H." sign-off. _____ ._____Both items were folded to fourths for mailing. _____.…
