The letters of Thomas Rumney of Mellfell in Cumberland, who was born in 1764, from the counting house in London on business matters and to his family and friends.

Soft cover. Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. Printed by G.W. McKane at Reliance Printing Works. Published by the author at Skiddaw Cottage, Keswick who, it states, was the author of "Fifty Years a Cyclist". There is a small owner stamp in the top rh corner of the title page with the initials WK next to which, in pencil, is the date in brackets of "Dec./35" The peach/orange coloured paper covers havebeen reasonably well preserved, if somewhat sun faded. The title lettering on the front cover being still very crisp. Price of 1/- printed on the front. There is a little edge wear/creases to the covers. Internally the book is very sound, albeit toned at the page block edge and with some mild foxing to the prelims and sporadically throughout. In all a lovely copy of this scarce, charming little book. 88 pages plus covers.
