Plus 24 colour lithograph plates of uniformed officers and soldiers, ranks, insignia, etc. Original pictorial wrappers, inscription at top; minor age related blemishes, bit thumbed in places, old annotation in pen to one plate and a few underlines. In a very good condition. ~ Third, improved and enlarged edition. The title-page calls for 23 plates only. In practice there are 24 plates in the book. Additional contemporary publisher's material inc. small colour map of Europe, etc., is loosely inserted. E-5 IN.
