Kunstenaar Kris Martin breng in het Kasteel van Laarne een groep van tien hedendaagse Belgische kunstenaars samen in een groepstentoonstelling onder de titel NADIR. Het nadir (van het Arabisch nathir, 'tegenovergesteld') is in de astronomie het punt dat recht tegenover het zenit staat: het punt recht onder de waarnemer. Voor Martin is het een metafoor: kijken naar wat er is, naar de kern gaan. Maar ook: als Belgische kunstenaar werken met de unieke locaties die ons land te bieden heeft. In die zin is de tentoonstelling een voortzetting van de tentoonstellingen die Martin eerder initieerde. Hij besloot om voor NADIR het kruim van de Belgische kunstscene te selecteren: de generatie kunstenaars die hem zelf gevormd en be nvloed hebben, op artistiek of vriendschappelijk vlak. Kunstenaar Gert Robijns (Sint Truiden, 1972) werkt al tien jaar rond de ?Reset?-idee, waarin het herscheppen en het herwaarderen van het landschap centraal staan. Zo onstaat in 2010 een eerste werk, Het Dorp, dat als het startschot van zijn ?Reset?-praktijk beschouwd kan worden. Robijns maakte toen een kopie van zijn geboortedorp Gotem, op een schaal van 75/100, in wit hout en metaal, inclusief kerk en pastorie. De constructie zette hij neer op de oude militaire luchthaven van Brustem, op een half uurtje fietsen van zijn geboortedorp.
