    Folio. Letterpress title and 21 leaves of descriptive text to each plates and blank paper guards. Contemporary half red morocco over marbled boards, profesionally recased. 21 hand coloured aquatint plates, of which three watermarked (1825, 1827 & 1828) Old ownership inscription to title, Light soiling and offsetting from the plates to the opposing blanks First published as" Tour of Paris" in oblong 4to, with double column text leaves in1824 (Abbey 113), plates dated variously 1822 and 1824 as here, with engraved title replaced here with letterpress title. Published by printer-bookseller William Sams, of whom little is known, these beautifully designed and aquatinted prints of brilliant hue and warm saturation depict lively and diverse Parisian street scenes and interiors.
