Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. First edition. 571pp. Original blue cloth with gilt-stamped spine. Black and white illustrations. Fold-out map present. Page edges mildly foxed and soiled, spine ends lightly bumped, a very good copy lacking the dustwrapper. An expansive account of the campaigns of the British Army and its German allies under Ferdinand of Brunswick in Europe during the Seven Years War, 1756-1763. This focuses mainly on five of the seven years fought in England and Hanover as allies of Prussia, 1757-1762. Campaigns fought through bad weather, fatigue and other various obstacles encountered by the soldiers. An interesting title of an often overlooked battle that was instrumental in keeping New France from invading America, part of what later became known as William Pitt's *Annus Mirabilis*.
