Soft cover. Condition: Fair. According to the cover: New. Complete Unabridged Edition. 150,000 words. The reverse of the book's title page also indicates that this is the third printing (paper edition), September, 1946. It includes a special introduction by Claude Pepper, United States Senator from Florida. In this one page spac…e he suggests that the book takes the period beginning with the Revolution in Russia and 'lets us see the world through Russia's experience.' He also states that a continuation of the West's policies of anti-Soviet intrigue 'would inevitably result in a third world war' This publication is divided into four books (with the text printed into two columns); beginning with book one (Revolution and Counterrevolution) and ending with book four (From Munich to San Francisco). The authors are at pains to point out that 'none of the incidents or dialogue has been invented by the authors. The material has been drawn from various documentary sources which are indicated in the text or listed in the Biographical Notes.' Condition - assessed as fair overall but please note that the title page is completely detached from the book block and that transparent adhesive tape has been used to protect the spine/card cover joints. The covers are also scuffed in places. Internally, the pages are very tanned; the more so on the preliminary and final ones. Title, Contents and Introduction pages have letters LG marked in ink on them (see image of Contents page as example). pp. 154/8vo. More information/photos available on request. Please note that, depending on destination, we may request a payment to cover any extra shipping/postage charges (esp. relating to size/weight). Proceeds to Amnesty International. Abe2449.
